Dr. Vaibhav Nimbalkar, from Thane, Mumbai, is a well-respected clinician, who has worked in several Hospitals in Maharashtra, as a Medical Officer and an attending Orthopaedician, since 2011; and at Tata Consultancy Services as a Medical Advisor, Reviewer and Team Leader, since 2018.

In the course of his Medical Career, he often met people suffering from Substance Use Problems, both the primary patients as well as their families. Unable to understand why Medical Science did not appear to be very successful with them, he became interested in learning how to help them, and was introduced to several members of 12 Step Movement to learn about their recovery program and how they had recovered.

Over the past 6 years, Dr. Nimbalkar, has been very closely associated with several non-profit organisations in the field of addiction education. He often speaks at schools, colleges and other public forums. Other than RoyCares! he is also volunteering at a Rehabilitation Centre near Thane where he provides consultation and training in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
