Edwin’s is a survivor story – from experimenting with alcohol and drugs at the age of 13, to kicking a hardcore Heroin addiction – he has become a recovery coach and a guide to those who want to live a drug free life.

He joined Asha Bhavan, a drug rehab centre, for treatment from Heroin addiction at the age of 27. After turning his life around, he went on to study Clinical Counselling at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. He has also participated in intensive training programs in NLP, CBT and Gestalt therapy.

He came back to serve as Director of Residential services at Asha Bhavan – the same centre where he was treated – for almost a decade. He was responsible for co-ordinating the program for twenty five patients, providing individual and family counseling, and facilitating groups and awareness programs.

He then continued his service as Senior Counselor at a Drug Detoxification Centre, run by The Association for Social Health in India (ASHI), Goa.

In 2019, he joined Wilson Smith Recovery and Wellness Centre as a Senior Recovery Coach, where his motivational talks and empathetic approach helped the patients in their struggle against addiction.
