Backed by a Master’s degree in Psychology, Kevin works with individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of emotional, behavioural, relationship, and mental-health concerns. His approach is grounded in existential and humanistic thinking, while drawing on therapeutic modalities including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Gestalt Therapy – allowing him to move comfortably between non-directive listening and more active, structured intervention.
A lifelong learner with a natural gift for communication and teaching, Kevin combines clarity of expression with an intuitive grasp of human emotion. His true education, he believes, has also come from the school of hard knocks – giving him empathy and a patient listening ear.
Within this broader psychological practice, addiction and recovery are an area of particular focus. With nearly four decades of personal recovery from alcohol dependence and over 20 years of freedom from nicotine addiction, Kevin brings to this work something that academic training alone cannot provide: a depth of insight rooted in lived experience.
His work extends beyond the consulting room. In the corporate space, his administration of assessments such as Gallup StrengthsFinder and DiSC has enhanced his understanding of personality, communication, and team dynamics.
Outside his professional work, Kevin’s love for music and the culinary arts adds another dimension to who he is. The rhythms of guitar and song, and the sensuous delight of cooking, reflect the balance, warmth, and mindful engagement he brings to his therapeutic practice. These pursuits are more than hobbies – they embody the groundedness and joy he hopes to encourage in the people he works with.
