About Naila Jung

Naila Jung

Substance Use Disorders (UTC), Women’s Interventions in Substance Exposure (WISE), M.Ed, LL.M, B.A. (Hons.).

Having studied and trained under the Universal Treatment Curriculum on Substance Use Disorders, Naila currently is a UTC Certified Addition Practitioner at RoyCares!. Coming from a background of practising as a lawyer in the High Courts as well as the Supreme Court of India, Naila’s journey into the realm of addiction counselling is deeply personal and transformative.
After facing her own challenges with addiction, she embarked on a profound journey of self-discovery. This experience shaped her understanding of addiction, and inspired her to dedicate her life to helping others struggling with similar issues. Along her journey, having encountered the distinct under-recognised challenges that women face in the recovery process through her own experiences, Naila became acutely aware of the unique hurdles that can hinder a woman’s journey to sobriety.
Furthermore, she noticed a significant underrepresentation of women in the field of addiction counselling and recovery services, and a lack of relatable role models and gender-sensitive care. This realisation drove her to specialise in the area of women’s interventions in substance exposure, allowing for her to become a dedicated advocate for more inclusive and comprehensive support systems for women navigating the complexities of addiction and recovery.
Her unique combination of personal and work experiences as well as academic knowledge allows Naila to provide empathetic and informed support to her clients, guiding them towards recovery and personal growth. She works with addicts, families, and individuals in the area of addiction, relationships, and emotions.
